A series of terrible superheroes are here to save the day!

    Setup and Format

    • 3-4 players

Ask the audience for a mundane problem. Something like: lost keys, filing taxes, moving a fridge, etc. Also ask the audeince for an unrelated (probably terrible) superhero name. For example: Napkin Man, The Dewey Decimallion, Nine Fingers Girl.

The first player takes the stage as the named superhero, and builds the scene, establishing the problem as the audience defined it. They attempt to solve the problem, but are unable to do so, so they call for another named superhero (also with an unlikely name).

The next player enters as that superhero, establishing their character, interacting with the first superhero, and also attempting to fix the problem. They too fail (if not make it even worse), so call for one more superhero (also with an unlikely name).

The third player enters as that superhero, establishing their character too. Together, the three superheroes use their powers to solve the problem.

    Learning Objectives

The difficulty in this scene is not so much embodying the superhero, but rather having to think on the name of the next superhero while still acting out the scene.
